How the planner works
Hours needed are each return type's count multiplied by the hours one return takes, added together. Hours available are preparers multiplied by weekly preparation hours and the weeks remaining. The extra people figure divides any shortfall by one preparer's hours over the same weeks. Use your own firm's hours per return: they vary widely with complexity and software.
